HOW TO STORE THESE CHICKEN STRIPS
Storing these chicken strips is really simple. First allow them to cool completely on a wire rim baking sheet so that it prevents them from getting soggy. Next in an airtight container, place a paper towel at the bottom as this will allow any condensation that forms to be soaked up. Place the air fried chicken tenders in the container and place the lid on top. These can be stored for 3 – 4 days in the refrigerator.
HOW TO REHEAT CHICKEN TENDERS
In order to maintain crispiness, it is best to reheat these chicken tenders in the air fryer. This will allow them to re-crisp during the heating process. If an air fryer isn’t available, then using the oven is the next best thing. Yes this will take a bit more time, however this will be worth it in the end. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and place the tenders on a wire rimmed baking sheet. This will allow the air to circulate all around the tenders. Heat for approximately 5 – 7 minutes or until the tenders are heated through.
You can also choose to reheat these in the microwave however here are a few tips for keeping them as crispy as possible:
- Heat in 30 second increments
- Flip the tenders every 30 seconds to prevent sogginess
- You can crisp the outer coating either in a skillet or broil them for a minute
