about me!
Hello! My name is Kim Abbage Hart and I’m so happy you’ve found my little corner of the internet! This is a place where I love to share my love of all things food, meal prep and fitness. Here you’ll find my take on recipes reimagined in a healthy way, but without skimping on the flavor. Often people think when they are “eating healthy” that translates to flavorless meals. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. My philosophy when it comes to food is that it must taste great without making your waistline suffer. I love to layer simple ingredients to make amazing dishes that would be perfect for an easy weeknight dinner or better yet for meal prep.
When it comes to meal prep and meal planning…that’s my true superpower. My goal is to help you overcome the fear of tackling those in your kitchen so that it’s simple, easy, and digestible.

A little bit about me:
First and foremost, I. Love. Food. I’m a true foodie at heart and love to experience different flavors, textures, and pairings. I use those experiences and translate them in my own kitchen where I love to experiment and bring those flavors to life.
My passion for food started at a young age. Growing up I would always be in the kitchen with my mom making my best gourmet meals. Peanut butter and pickle sandwiches anyone? No seriously, I used to LOVE those sandwiches and would savor every bite. Thankfully, my taste buds have matured over time and I’ve learned what flavors truly pair well together.
While my passion for food started at a young age, my love of eating healthy came later in life. In 2008 is when I was first introduced to “meal prep” probably before it was even a thing. I was training for my very first marathon and after some of my longer training runs, would realize that I needed food already cooked and ready to eat. Fast forward to a few years later when I started training with a strength coach, he gave me my first meal plan. Imagine my shock when I noticed I was to eat 6 meals a day! I started to think that I needed to get a bit more efficient at meal prepping because as much as I love to cook, being in the kitchen all day is not my thing.
Through the meal prep process I also realized that I didn’t really like repeating the same meals more than twice and I really wanted my food to taste good! I’m not the type that can eat chicken, broccoli and brown rice for every meal. That is a torture to me. I crave variety because it truly is the spice of life.
Due to my love of food, I decided to get my certification in fitness nutrition to truly understand the “why” behind macronutrients and their importance and what role they played in my diet. Beyond food, I also have my personal training certification because naturally eating healthy and working out go hand in hand. I truly enjoy working out and staying active whether it’s in the gym, biking or hiking on the trail, I love to move my body!
While you’re here, I hope you learn at least one new thing, try one new recipe or be inspired to move more.
Here’s to a happy and healthy journey!
