This air fryer boneless chicken thighs recipe is so quick to make it is a no brainer for a meal. Chicken thighs paired with a super rich low-fat ranch marinade, makes for some of the juiciest chicken. There is nothing better than juicy crispy chicken. What’s even better is when that chicken takes minimal effort to make. Insert, the super popular air fryer. I got my air fryer about 2 years ago as a wedding gift. It was one of those items that I always wanted, but wasn’t sure if I’d actually use it. Fast forward two years later and I use my air fryer weekly for meal preps. It has become one of my top small kitchen appliances.
WHAT IS AN AIR FRYER
An air fryer is really just a small convection oven that fits on your countertop. The reason I love this handy appliance is because it allows you to cook or “fry” foods that would normally be off limits when trying to eat healthier.
You can make all of your favorite foods that you would in an oven or deep fryer, but with a fraction of the oil. Sometimes all it takes is a teaspoon or less of oil and you have crispy chicken, fries or even mini pizzas. It can give you all the crunch without all of the oil.
With this type of cooking method, it naturally makes foods healthier and can easily be incorporated into any diet.
WHY BONELESS CHICKEN THIGHS IN AIR FRYER
I chose to do boneless air fryer chicken thighs because these are a little juicier than chicken breast due to its slightly higher fat content. If you’re new to cooking chicken, then chicken thighs are (almost) fail proof as it’s hard to overcook them. Even if you do, they will still maintain their juiciness unlike chicken breast which can dry out pretty quickly.
If you want to ensure that you don’t overcook your chicken, invest in a cooking thermometer. You will want to cook your chicken until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees. In order to maintain its juiciness, be sure to let the meat rest for at least 10 minutes so all the juices can redistribute prior to slicing into it.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE AN AIR FRYER
That’s totally fine if you don’t, the next best thing would be to use the convection setting on your oven (if you have one). The key is ensuring that you cook these boneless chicken thighs on a raised grill plate, to ensure heat circulates all the way around the chicken.
If your oven doesn’t have a convection setting, then simply baking these in the oven at 375 degrees works just as well!
INGREDIENTS FOR BONELESS CHICKEN THIGHS IN AIR FRYER
Of course you can use any marinade of your choice or a simple seasoning blend for chicken thighs. However I decided to amp up the flavors just a bit for this easy dinner. For the marinade I used:
- Packet of Ranch seasoning
- ¼ cup greek yogurt ranch dressing
- Garlic Powder
- Lemon Juice
- Dried parsley
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER BONELESS CHICKEN THIGHS
This recipe comes together pretty quickly which makes it perfect for any weeknight meal or for your next meal prep.
Season your chicken thighs with the spice blend of pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley and coat evenly. Next in a small bowl, mix ½ packet of ranch seasoning with ½ cup of ranch dressing along with lemon juice. I like this ranch dressing for this recipe.
Marinade your chicken for at least 1 hour up to overnight.
Place your chicken in the air fryer and cook on 400 degrees for 15 – 17 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear.

Air Fryer Boneless Chicken Thighs

- 1 pkg Boneless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup Ranch dressing Greek yogurt ranch dressing
- 1/2 pkg Ranch seasoning
- 1 tbsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Dried parsley
- 1/2 squeeze Lemon
- Season boneless chicken thighs with your spice blend and place in a large ziplock bag
- In a large bowl, mix the ranch seasoning ranch dressing and lemon juice together
- Pour the ranch seasoning mix over your chicken thighs and ensure they are all well coated
- Marinade your chicken thighs for at least 1 hour up to overnight
- Spray your air fryer tray/basket with spray pam and place your thighs in an even layer on the tray
- Cook in the air fryer on 375 degrees for 15 – 17 minutes turning once halfway through or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees and juices run clear.
- Once chicken is cooked through, remove from air fryer and garnish with extra squeeze of lemon juice and dried parsley
