WHAT DOES COOKIES & CREAM OVERNIGHT OATS TASTE LIKE
These creamy oats truly do taste like your favorite Oreo cookies. Filled with a tasty cream flavor that comes from our not so secret ingredient, Oreo pudding. We will also use some other good for you ingredients like old fashioned oats, chia seeds and vanilla flavored almond milk. Topped with either plain greek yogurt or vanilla yogurt makes this dish complete. Of course you can also choose to use a few crushed Oreos as an additional topping.
ARE OREO OATS GOOD FOR YOU
The short answer is yes! Oats are a great carbohydrate source and good source of fiber. Adding chia seeds bumps up the fiber content and is also a great source of plant based protein. Lastly using greek yogurt as a topping adds an additional 14g – 17g of protein as well. In one serving the overall calories is approximately 335 making this a very healthy start to your day.

Once you have those ingredients, you can flavor them in a variety of different ways. A few ways I love flavoring my oats are:
- Berry topped
- Banana Walnut
- Lemon Blueberry
- Peanut Butter Pecan
- Raspberry Chocolate
- Blueberry Cheesecake
Whatever combination you choose, it’s one of the easiest breakfast ideas to make!
HOW TO MAKE OREO OVERNIGHT OATS
First gather your dry ingredients that you will need for these oats including Oreo Cookies and Cream pudding.
Next you will need a container to make your oats in. You can choose from mason jar, small jars or glasses, or any airtight container that you choose. Once you have what you will make them in, you are ready to assemble the ingredients.
First place your oats in the container and then top with 2 tablespoons of the cookies and cream pudding. Next add your chia seeds and then pour your almond milk over the oats and seal. Place them in the refrigerator overnight or up to at least 4 hours so the oats soak up the milk and the chia seeds puff up.
Once the oats are set, top oats with plain or vanilla greek yogurt. Add a few crushed Oreos for added texture and flavor.
DO I HAVE TO USE ALMOND MILK
No you don’t have to use almond milk, that is just my favorite dairy-free milk to use. You can use any variety of milk to your liking including:
- Soy milk
- Coconut milk
- Hemp milk
- Oat milk
WHY OLD FASHION OATS
I would recommend that you use old fashion oats versus quick oats because they can stand up to soaking overnight or up to four hours. In using instant oats the mixture tends to be on the mushier side versus making a nice creamy oatmeal consistency. Steel cut oats will also work well in this recipe as well. Both of these types of oats can be found in your local grocery store.
HOW TO STORE OVERNIGHT OATS
Storing overnight oats is pretty easy given you’ve already made them in an air tight container. Once you set them in the refrigerator take them out the next morning when you’re ready to eat them. These oats store well for up to 3 days in the fridge.

I’m confused. In the ingredient list you say 2tsp of OREO pudding mix. Inthe instructions you say 2 tablespoons of pudding mix. Which is it??
kabbagehart says

I usually just make the item and never comment but I made these and they were delicious. I love how simple the ingredients are and how quick it was to put together and instead of 1 tsp chia seeds, I used a tbsp and I omitted the Greek yogurt and used reddi whip…an amazing breakfast and a great snack.. thank you
