Hands down the best garlic parmesan chicken skewers recipe you will ever make! I love these chicken kebabs because they are so easy to make and they have a great flavor.
Cut the garlic bulb in half and season the garlic with 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, sprinkle of salt, black pepper, sprinkle of red pepper flakes and sprinkle Italian seasoning.
Place on top of the foil and wrap it tightly so it's covered.
Place in the oven and bake for approx. 30 minutes or until the garlic becomes fragrant and is soft.
Chicken Thighs
While the garlic is baking, in a large baking pan, fill halfway with water and soak your bamboo skewers.
Next, prep your chicken thighs by cutting them into small pieces so that they are easier to thread onto the wooden skewers.
Once all of your chicken is cut into small pieces place them in a shallow dish and season with your spices including paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, onion powder, salt and parsley.
Take a bamboo skewer and thread the chicken onto the skewers until you have about 5 - 6 chicken chunks on the skewer. It should fill the skewer about halfway down.
Repeat this process until all of your chicken is threaded. This should make approx. 6 - 7 skewers.
Next, place chicken skewers in your air fryer and cook for 10 minutes on 400 degrees f.
Parmesan Sauce
While the chicken is cooking, make your parmesan sauce. Remove the garlic from the oven and in a small sauce pan heat 3 tbsp of butter over medium heat and melt.
Next add 1/3 cup of grated parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and fresh parsley. Squeeze the garlic cloves into the sauce and stir well to combine.
Once the pieces of chicken have cooked for 10 minutes, slather the cheese sauce over the skewers and flip to the other side and place some of the sauce on the other side as well.
Close the air fryer and cook the chicken for another 10 minutes at 400 degrees f.
After the chicken is cooked to a golden brown, remove from the air fryer and allow to cool to room temperature.
Optional, you can choose to squeeze some lemon juice on top of the chicken pieces for some extra bright acidity.
