Equipment

  • 1 Grill or Grill pan
  • 1 Wooden or Metal skewers

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1 lb Chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili garlic sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Corn starch slurry

Spices

  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Ginger grated
  • 1/4 tsp Sesame oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • If using wooden skewers, soak the bamboo skewers in a pan filled with water. This will prevent the wood from burning. Skip this step if using metal skewers.
  • Using a small bowl, mix all of the ingredients for the teriyaki sauce and set aside. Using a sharp knife place chicken on cutting board, slice the chicken into chicken tenders. Place the chicken pieces in a resealable food storage bag and pour the marinade over it. Give the bag a good shake to evenly distribute the marinade. Set aside and let marinate for 30 minutes to overnight. Once marinating is complete, thread the chicken onto the skewers.
  • While the chicken is marinading, heat your grill to medium high heat. Spray the grill with cooking spray. Place the marinated chicken onto the grill and cook for approximately 5-6 minutes per side or until the internal temperature is 160 degrees.
  • Once the chicken is cooked through, remove from the heat and allow to cool. Optional top with gochujang flakes, sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
